As we know that database is the collection of tables which is used to store data or records in a separate form so that user can manage the data according to his/her requirements. We use the database to insert, update, delete and retrieve data according to our need. To perform such activities we use ODBC database, SQL database, Microsoft Access etc. Sometimes when we try to preview Database Region page then it became to display the page and gives the error message to indicate that you are missing some files. The error message is –
Database Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver] Couldn’t find file ‘(unknown)’.
The error message indicated that the ODBC driver is missing or unable to found due to changes of its path. It is compulsory for you to fix the error when you preview Database Region page because unless you solve this issue you can’t preview the page.
The cause of this error:-
As we know that the Microsoft Access database file specified in the Data Source Name (DSN) so it is not found to the exact location or it has corrupted or damaged due to malicious programs or missing system configuration then it may be the cause of ODBC Microsoft Access Driver error. The database file has the record of data so if it is deleted or moved then it can’t support or can’t found to the required path and if you will try to preview the web page which contains a database region then it can’t preview in a Web Browser.
How to fix this issue:-
Before performing any activity it is most important to scan the system because it removes the malicious programs or software and keeps the system safe from their attack. Most of the errors or problems of the system occur due to injection of malicious programs. Since the database file of DSN (database System Name) has moved or deleted and due to this issue, you are getting this error so follow the given steps to configure DSN system-
- Go to the Control Panel by clicking on Start then Control Panel
- Open the ODBC icon and click on the tab System DSN
- Select the DSN name you want to configure and Click on the option “Configure”
- Now click on “Select” option and select your database file
- Click on OK three times
After performing the given steps now you can try to preview the web page in Web Browser that contains a database region. You can also do that repair the ODBC driver because if it is missing then you receive the error so use a third party tool to repair the driver.
