The error code 52 is a very uncommon error that may occurs suddenly after installing any software, driver or hardware in windows machine. If you have error code 52 related issues, then you may encounter following error message:

“Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52”).

In this article, I will explain how can you fix this problem.

Why Driver Error code 52 appears?

There are too many reasons that can cause this problem. Some of the most common cause are listed below:

  1. Might be original system file or dependent file gets deleted or replaced when you installed new driver or software.
  2. Registry File has some invalid or incorrect keys.
  3. When you installed incompatible software, hardware or driver.
  4. Virus, Trojan or Malware is blocking USB Device, etc.

Method 1: Fix using Advanced System Repair Tool

The most common reason behind this error is missing system files, corrupted registry entries, misconfigured system files, virus, Trojan or malware etc. Advanced System Repair Tool scans whole PC and list out all the problems and then allows you to fix all trouble just in single click.

Method 2: Disable Signing Checking in Advanced Boot Option

By disabling signing checking, you can fix this problem easily. Here, is the steps to disable signing checking option.

Steps 1: Start PC in Advanced Boot Option. Hold Shift Key and click on Restart.

Method 3: Delete USB Upper Filter and Lower Filter from Registry Entry keys.

This is the most risky way to fix error code 52 – USB Port Not Recognizing by yourself. This method tells you to edit registry file manually but it might be risky. If you make any simple mistake, this mistake might down your OS permanently. Better to make a backup before editing registry file.

Step 1: Open Registry Editor. Press Windows Key + R to open Run command and then type regedit.exe to open registry editor file.
Step 2: Navigate to following location to delete upper filter value. Click on Edit menu and then Delete and OK.

Step 4: Restart Your PC.
